First Grade is an exciting, fun, and challenging year and I am delighted to be your child’s teacher. I hope to provide a learning atmosphere where your child can grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

If your child is having a problem at any time during the year, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. The best times to reach me during the school day are on Thursday and Friday between 12:30 and 1:10 or on Tuesday and Wednesday between 1:10 and 1:50 or on Monday between 9:50 and 10:30. All students have music class once a week. I don’t know who has more fun, them or me! It is my goal to have fun while learning.

Grades 1, 2, and 4 will perform in the CHRISTMAS PROGRAM. Grades K, 3, and 5 will perform in the SPRING PROGRAM.

There is a SCHOOL CHOIR made up of students in Grades 3-8. The members are selected after auditioning. This choir sings for all school masses and prayer services.

The students in Grade 3 play the recorder. I remind the students that is takes a while before they sound like performers and suggest that they enter seclusion at home if they are practicing!!!

Welcome to a new school year! Please don’t forget to donate your used ink cartridges and old cell phones to St. Gabriel School by sending them to school with your child to give to me. I wish all my students success in the months ahead!

Thank you for having your children prepared for Phys. Ed. Classes to continue bringing their Phys. Ed. uniforms on their designated Phys. Ed. day! (STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO WEAR TENNIS SHOES TO SCHOOL!)

GRADES 5TH -8TH ONLY- Health classes will take the place of Phys. Ed. in the 2ND AND 3RD QUARTER.
